Into the roof
A floor, a stair and a roof structure that has to be reworked to carry a room. The quietest of the four to live through.

Most people ring a builder with one job in mind, then find out the house had more in it than that. Slade have taken houses on the Wicklow and Dublin border up all four steps, from a floor in the roof to a whole new build on a better site.
→Pick one of the four steps. The drawing changes, and you get the jobs where we have already done it.
The floor area is already up there. It just has no stairs yet, and a roof structure that was never asked to hold a bedroom. That is the whole job.
Ask about an attic conversionThe four steps
Homeowners tend to pick a different contractor for every size of job, which is how a house ends up with four sets of details that do not agree. Slade have run all four scales across the same stretch of Wicklow, Dublin and Kildare, with the same craftsmen on the books.

Where the kitchen meets the garden is where most of these jobs start, and where the structural opening decides everything after it.
Same footprint, different house. Structural alterations and building repairs, plus all the work nobody ever photographs.
For when the site is worth more than the house standing on it. Foundations to handover, on a full design and build contract.
Design and build
Slade are a family construction company on the Wicklow and Dublin border, working for domestic and commercial clients. The design and build service is the whole thing in one place, which is the difference between managing a build and being handed one.
A complete design and build service, so the drawings and the people putting them up answer to the same contract.
A team of skilled craftsmen rather than a phone list, which is what keeps the standard the same on the second half of a job as the first.
Long established relationships with suppliers and subcontractors throughout Ireland, built up since the company was founded.
Commercial fitouts and civil works sit alongside the housing, which is why the site management holds up on the bigger jobs.
Where we build
The yard is at Troopersfield in Blessington. The work runs from the lakes at Valleymount and Baltyboys through Kildare and straight into the south Dublin suburbs, which is close enough that the same people are on your job from start to finish.
Every one of those is a job Slade have named on their own project list, domestic and commercial.
